It has been a while. Sorry about that. But here we are again. Together again. This time with more guest artist news. 
As if March wasn't already star-packed with amazing guest artists, we will have the pleasure of hosting our good friend, David aka The Dino Baby and live from New York City, Derek Martinez. In April we have added the swedish wizard Zlogthorn who goes by the civil name of Max Petersson.
I guess its time to show a bit of the magic these tat-wizards a capable of.

I, Uncle Allan, have a few new guestspots and conventions lined up. 

From the 29th of April till the 18th of May I will be back with my Japanese family in Tokyo, Inkrat. Email Hata at inkrat00@yahoo.co.jp to book an appointment with me and send me a mail with your ideas and questions. 

For the first time I will make a Canadian appearance. I am stoked to be working the Montreal Art Tattoo Show from the 11th-13th of September. 

After Montreal I will go back to my homies in New York at Red Rocket Tattoo until me and Adam will head to London for the convention there. PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BOOK ANY OF THESE SPOTS YET... MORE INFO WILL FOLLOW WHEN I KNOW HOW TO BOOK. So keep an eye on this or my own blog for how and when to book for Montreal, New York and London.

Last but not least... NORWAY!!!

On the 13th - 16th of November I will be working the Blekkmetal event in Bergen Norway. I am very excited to be a part of this mix of tattooing and black metal. Follow them here for more info as it gets published. Taake is already confirmed and many many more great bands is to follow. I will also be posting more about this as we get closer. So check my blog for updates on my part in this event.

October guest artist news!!

For those of you hoping we'd have some news on the guest artist front, you're in luck!
Davee Blows, who was here briefly in August during Allan's black metal art show, is coming back for a real guest spot.
He'll be doing fun stuff, in the style you see in the pictures below, and he'll be here from the 24th till the 28th of October.

I seriously have a lot of news, like big news that some of you may have already heard through that infamous grapevine, but they deserve their own post, and for practical reasons, i can't write that post until Saturday.
How annoyingly cryptic, i know, but soon!
Until then, why not book an appointment with Davee to kill the time?

Milkshakes and rants

Phew.
After a very hectic, and very, very fun August, we're kinda back to normal here.
We miss all of our buddies, but it's also nice with a little quiet once in a while.
The quiet is not gonna last too long, though, cause London is coming up, and that convention has a way of sneaking up on us, fast!
Allan is working on designs for the convention, and maybe, if they're ready in time, we'll post a little preview. If not, you'll just have to wait and see!

I have some good news for everyone who've been asking ever since it closed; the waiting list will open soon.
Yay!
Not saying how soon, but soon-ish, so start thinking of fun ideas!
Also, since we're on the topic of the waiting list....

Sometimes i'll write someone about finally getting their tattoo appointment, and they're unable to accept due to various circumstances like loss of a job, moving house, or just being plain broke, which is understandable, of course, but also a giant waste of time for us and the other people on the list.
And then there are the people who are super stoked in their mails, but never reply, which is just weird... or my personal favorites; the people who get tired of waiting and go to another artist, but never think of letting us know.

The point is, while most people are more than happy to jump at the chance to get tattooed, and are well prepared, there are some who seem to sign up without considering that they will eventually have to get tattooed!
We do try to give everyone a few months notice, but my point (i have many points!) is: when you sign up for the waiting list, start saving up. And if something happens that makes you unable to get tattooed, like say moving house or getting pregnant, please just take yourself off the list and sign back up when you're ready again.
If you don't, you're missing the point and you're wasting our time.

Whoa, that sounded harsh! But really, i'm just looking to make our system as efficient as possible, and make sure that the people on that list who really want to get tattooed, can get tattooed with as little waiting as possible.
So if you're a person who's on the waiting list but maybe shouldn't be... please send a mail to uncleswaitinglist@gmail.com with the subject "delete me". You can always sign back up later.

Tattoos, just tattoos

No big announcements today, just a few pictures.

Here's what Allan and David were up to yesterday, straight from the iPhone, so you know it's fresh.*

Allan finished Sasha's lower arm, there's even stuff on the other side too, but that picture was too blurry

Damn, it's been a while since i've posted here, and the last time i did post something it just made you guys all sad, so i guess i should get to blogging some fun stuff, right?
We don't have time for a lot of blogging these days. Or fun stuff, for that matter! No, that last part is not true. It's just that black metal march and the black metal art show in Germany is taking up a lot of our time, and although they're both super fun projects, it'll be kind of nice to have them behind us.
The art show is next week, and we'll be driving to Germany with a bunch of paintings and a dog that always needs to pee, so i'll definitely be blogging about that!

So since we're basically at the shop all the friggin time, we're happy that our guest Adam has been booked for the better part of the week too, so we at least got to hang out at the shop. Oh, and there were some late dinners too.
On the days Adam didn't work, he got his back tattooed by Eckel. They started his epic backpiece Wednesday and continued it today, and it's looking pretty amazing already, but you'll just have to take my word for it... or find Adam and make him strip for you.
